NEW YORK — Effective January 1, 2023, Mound Cotton promoted Andrea Fort, Pamela Minetto, and Craig Rygiel, to Partner and Kristen Kish to Special Counsel.

Andrea Fort
Andrea, working in the Long Island office, has been an asset to the firm since 2007. Her practice focuses on complex insurance and reinsurance coverage disputes, in both litigated and arbitrated matters, including Bermuda Form arbitrations. She has significant experience with claims involving such areas as construction defects, asbestos, and head injury sports claims.

She received her J.D. magna cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, her M.A. from University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, and her B.A. from McGill University. She is admitted to the New York Bar.

Pamela Minetto
Pam, working in the New Jersey office, has been a valuable member of the firm since 2003. She has over thirty years of experience in the analysis and litigation of complex casualty claims. In addition to providing claim advice and analysis, Pam represents insurers with significant interests in declaratory judgment actions involving, inter alia, loss associated with environmental property damage, toxic tort (product and other mass torts), construction defects, as well as insurer involvement in bankruptcy litigation involving policyholders. Her experience extends to allocation analysis, implementation, modeling and design, as well as monitoring and assessing claims/litigation for excess/primary insurers.

Pam received her LL.M. in Taxation, Trust and Estates, from New York University Law School, her J.D., magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, and her B.A., University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She is admitted to the Bars of New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington, Nevada, and California.

Craig Rygiel
Craig has been an asset to the firm since 2015. Based in the New Jersey office, his practice is focused primarily on complex insurance coverage and bad faith litigation and counseling, involving commercial property and business interruption, builder’s risk, and other first-party claims. Craig has been instrumental in securing a number of victories in COVID-19 coverage cases and is frequently involved in other complex coverage disputes.

He received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law, and his  B.S. from The College of New Jersey. He is admitted to the Bars of New York and New Jersey.

Kristen Kish
Kristen has been a valuable member of the firm since 2019, resident in the New York City office. She has been involved in some of the firm’s biggest and most complex reinsurance arbitrations and plays a key role in many direct matters as well.

Kristen received her J.D. cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, and her B.A., with highest honors, from Pennsylvania State University. She is admitted to the Bars of New York, New Jersey, and California.
