Kristen C. Kish

 

Kristen C. Kish is a Partner at Mound Cotton with over ten years of experience in all phases of complex commercial litigation and arbitration. Her practice focuses on reinsurance, third party insurance coverage, first party insurance coverage, and general litigation. She advises reinsurers in matters involving follow-the-fortunes and follow-the-settlements, number of occurrences, allocation, and notice. She also handles third party and first party insurance coverage, including matters involving coverage for environmental damage, toxic tort personal injury, molestation, construction defects, copyright infringement, advertising injury, personal injury, pharmaceuticals, and bad faith faith/statutory claims-handling violations. She has litigated in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Kristen joined Mound Cotton in 2019. She is a graduate of Pepperdine School of Law, cum laude. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, with highest honors, from Pennsylvania State University. While attending law school, she received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Federal Income Taxation; Divorce; and Interviewing, Counseling and Planning.

Prior to joining the firm, Kristen worked as an associate in law firms in California and New York, where she concentrated on civil litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure matters, specializing in consumer debt. She represented numerous clients in successful Chapter 7 bankruptcies and Chapter 13 bankruptcy reorganization plans.
