Gregg P. Hirsch

 

Gregg P. Hirsch has over thirty years of experience in the insurance industry. Mr. Hirsch joined the firm in March 2015 after thirty years as in-house counsel at the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, as Senior Associate General Counsel and Senior Vice-President. Mr. Hirsch’s practice has included counseling on a wide variety of legal issues affecting the development, administration, marketing and sale of insurance products; and he has overseen all aspects of significant transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and licensing of insurance companies and businesses. Mr. Hirsch is knowledgeable on a broad spectrum of insurance products, with special expertise in retail and group life insurance; annuities; health insurance; affiliated and third-party distribution channels; and self-funded benefits. In addition to his expertise on product and transactional matters, Mr. Hirsch is also experienced in the handling of bankruptcy and insolvency issues affecting insurance companies.

Mr. Hirsch is a graduate of Queens College and Fordham University School of Law.
