Megan Wendell
Megan Wendell has extensive experience in insurance coverage and litigation, specializing in commercial general liability, professional liability, employer’s liability, and insurance bad faith matters. She provides strategic counsel to insurers, managing complex litigation from start to finish, including declaratory relief, indemnification, allocation, contribution, and bad faith defense. Megan regularly drafts detailed coverage opinions, position letters, and handles both state and federal insurance litigation. She also represents insurers in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences, often in high-profile, multi-party cases.
Earlier in her career, Megan represented general contractors and subcontractors in construction litigation and represented insurers in large-scale qui tam actions under California Insurance Code section 1871.7. She has experience in personal injury, toxic tort, and workers’ compensation cases, including investigating fraudulent claims and conducting Examinations Under Oath. As a legal research attorney for the Alameda County Superior Court, she’s researched civil motions and prepared court rulings, gaining a strong foundation in legal analysis and judicial processes.
Megan received her J.D. from the University of San Francisco, graduating cum laude, and received her B.A. in politics, graduating magna cum laude, from Dominican University of California, San Rafael. She is admitted to the California State Bar.
