We are seeking Associates for our New York office. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of experience in complex insurance, reinsurance, litigation and bad faith coverage. We are seeking a mid-level Litigation Paralegal for our Emeryville, CA office. This role’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide document review support to attorneys (redactions, privilege logs, etc.)
  • Gather, organize, and label exhibits for depositions
  • Coordinate ongoing projects and monitor/provide reports regarding cases, matters, discovery, and meetings
  • Interact with client contacts for case information/document gathering, evaluation, and assessment throughout the investigation and discovery process
  • Perform daily case management tasks, including organizing and saving expert materials, and other client documents and creating/maintaining attorney binders
  • Perform basic research and docket monitoring of court rules, cases, companies, and individuals.
  • Perform effective work practices as a team member

Requirements & Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate; and minimum of 4-6 years of related experience working in a law firm
  • Knowledge of management and organization of electronic documentation
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, Relativity, IPRO, Concordance, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Experience with e-discovery software (or ability to learn quickly)
  • Strong ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication for interaction with partners, associates, staff and clients, as well as outside vendors, opposing counsel, and other parties
  • Attention to detail; ability to both work independently and as part of a team; professional and courteous demeanor
  • Willing to work overtime, as needed
  • Willing to work in-person in the office daily (with work-from-home on a limited, as needed, basis)
