Avery L. L. Nickerson
Avery L. L. Nickerson graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2018, where she was a head coach, staff editor, and award-winning competitor of the Cardozo Moot Court Honor Society. At the culmination of her law school career, Ms. Nickerson received the Jacob Burns Medal for achievement in scholastic activities, as well as the Cardozo Service and Achievement Award for her contributions to the Cardozo community during her tenure as the Secretary of the Student Bar Association. Ms. Nickerson attended the University of San Diego, where she received her B.A. in Marine Science, with a minor in Chemistry.
During her time at Cardozo Law, Ms. Nickerson was a legal intern at the Innocence Project, where she handled complex legal issues involving the wrongful incarceration of her clients. She also managed a variety of property and employment contractual claims, as well as intellectual property claims while working as a legal intern for a presidential campaign.
