Bergman, Ira S.

Ira S. Bergman has over a decade of experience litigating a wide array of insurance and reinsurance disputes in state and federal courts throughout the country. He also has significant experience in general commercial litigation. Mr. Bergman has represented insurers in many of the country's highest profile insurance coverage declaratory judgment actions, including those related to asbestos, lead paint, tobacco, environmental pollution, wrongful acts of corporate directors and officers, libel/slander and construction defects.
Mr. Bergman has written articles on various insurance-related topics that have appeared in Best's Review and Mealey's Litigation Report: Insurance and has lectured on first- and third- party coverage issues. Mr. Bergman is admitted to practice in Florida, New York, Pennsylvania and numerous federal courts, including the U.S. District Courts for Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Bergman was a law clerk from 1994-1997 at the 15th Judicial Circuit of Florida in West Palm Beach.
Mr. Bergman is a graduate of the University of Florida (with honors) and Tulane Law School (cum laude).
