Leonard A. Sheft

Leonard A. Sheft, a graduate of New York University and The Yale Law School, has practiced law for over 46 years during which time he has tried hundreds of cases in both State and Federal Courts throughout the United States. These cases have involved insurance coverage for environmental claims, the defense of third party claims, as well as other coverage cases including ERISA and contingency non-appearance matters for both domestic, as well as, London Market Companies. He has lectured on trial practice for the Practising Law Institute and has been a frequent speaker at the Excess and Surplus Lines Claims Association. He was on the Insurance Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is also a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association and has been certified as an Advocate by the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Sheft served to the rank of captain in the United States Air Force.
